College IT Conference

Tower of London – 2014

The 7th annual College IT Conference was held at The Tower of London on the 21st March 2014.

Andy Harter, Founder and CEO from RealVNC opened the day with an enthusiastic look into the history of RealVNC and current developments in the market, discussing the impact social media has had on the direction for integration of remote access and control tools, and the possible future for RealVNC.

The Tower of London offered a unique backdrop for an informative mix of technical seminars delivered by the IT committee of the Collegiate Colleges’ and from our invited sponsors, topped of with a number of lively round tables.  Some topics covered included “Open Source Tools for Network and Infrastructure Monitoring Made Easier”, “The dark web”, “Xojo – Application development for Windows, Mac, Linux, the Web and beyond”, “The Microsoft 365 Cloud and an Oxford College”.

The sponsors’ hall proved popular during lunch and the breaks as usual, offering us a great chance to learn about new technologies and meet suppliers.

As always the event could not have gone ahead without our sponsors’ contributions. This year we are pleased to be able to thank the following sponsors for their generous support: Sharprint, Salto Systems, S3 Consulting, Khipu Networks, Dell, CAE, Arubanetworks, Vanix, Switchshop, Lan 3.
