The 6th annual CIT Conference was held at Legoland, Windsor on the 22nd March 2013.
Ryan Shuttleworth, AWS Evangelist from Amazon Web Services got the day started with his keynote “Transformations of cloud computing” as he discussed changes in IT infrastructure and application development with the transformations cloud computing has brought to the IT sector.
The conference offered a lively day of seminars and round-table discussions relevant to College IT managers. A broad range of technical and management related topics were covered including Raspberry Pi introduction sessions, in-house software development, NAC to the future, and more. These technical sessions were broken up by LEGO master class sessions providing a light alternative during the days busy schedule.
The sponsors’ hall proved popular during lunch and the breaks as usual, offering us a great chance to learn about new technologies and meet suppliers.
