The 8th annual College IT Conference was held at Coombe Abbey on the 20th March 2015.
Matthew Gast opened the day providing a deep dive presentation on “The Internet of Things”, going into the background of the wireless elements and the future direction the technology is likely to take.
Coombe Abbey offered a historic setting for an informative mix of technical seminars delivered by the IT committee of the Collegiate Colleges’ and from our invited sponsors, topped of with a number of lively round tables. Some topics covered included “ADFS and Shibboleth for Sharepoint”, “Microsoft EES Licence (Campus): The Good, The Bad, The Ugly”, “Access and Identity Management disussion”, “Information management in a college environment”.
The sponsors’ hall proved popular during lunch and the breaks as usual, offering us a great chance to learn about new technologies and meet suppliers.
